I don't know if y'all remember the hacker/activist group that calls themselves Anonymous, but about a couple years or so ago they launched a campaign against Scientology silencing and threatening people. They got a pretty good amount of publicity even though I don't know if they accomplished anything other than getting on the news. Having said that, I gotta give them props for sticking it to the MPAA and the RIAA. Why? Because they (RIAA/MPAA) suck ass! Trying to run modern day industries like its 1950 doesn't work. Get with the times instead of suing college students, you fucks. TechCrunch has the full scoop.
Operation:Payback is a bitch.
DATE \September 19, 2010\
To whom it may concern,
This is to inform you that we, Anonymous, are organizing an Operation called “Payback is a bitch”. Anonymous will be attacking the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), the MPAA (Motion Pictures Association of America), and their hired gun AIPLEX for attacks against the popular torrent and file sharing site, the Piratebay (www.thepiratebay.org). We will prevent users to access said enemy sites and we will keep them down for as long as we can. But why, you ask? Anonymous is tired of corporate interests controlling the internet and silencing the people’s rights to spread information, but more importantly, the right to SHARE with one another. The RIAA and the MPAA feign to aid the artists and their cause; yet they do no such thing. In their eyes is not hope, only dollar signs. Anonymous will not stand this any longer. We wish you the best of luck.
We are legion.
DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks are a biznatch (I hear), but I guess it wasn't enough, the article continues,
"For all the “future of cyber protest” rhetoric, it remains to be seen how much effect a flood of traffic and a few hours of downtime will have on changing RIAA or MPAA piracy policy. After all, despite yesterday’s sustained attacks, the MPAA site is back up and running, snow owls and all."

Ok, I think many of us know that most of the tobacco companies give money to CAMP (Campaign Against Marijuana Planting), but now the beer industry is joining the fight against the chronic. I can maybe see that they would be concerned that legalized pot would slightly affect their beer sales, but the reason they give is hilarious. Check it out.
"Rhonda Stevenson, director of public affairs for the California Beer & Beverage Distributors, said the group's opposition comes from concerns about public and worker safety. She relied on talking points from the California Chamber of Commerce stating that if Prop. 19 passes, employers would have no ability to monitor or regulate pot consumption of employees, thereby creating the danger of stoned truck drivers and sales people on the roads, and stoned forklift drivers in the warehouses. "
I don't get it. Read the whole story here.
I remember watching an interview with the RZA a couple years ago about how him and Russell Crowe hit it off really well and Crowe gave him a George Harrison guitar that Dhani Harrison played on Wu Tangs 8 Diagrams. Didn't really expect this though -
"Rekindling a beautiful friendship sparked several years ago during the making of American Gangster, RZA has cast Russell Crowe in his upcoming kung-fu film The Man With The Iron Fist, which (as previously reported) RZA plans to direct with help from producer Eli Roth later this year. E! picked up the news at the MTV Video Music Awards, where RZA was quoted as saying that Crowe will “be the baddest man alive” opposite RZA’s weapons-crafting blacksmith in feudal China, the history of which Crowe is probably revising right this very moment, no matter what smart-assed reporters have to say about it."
I gotta say I'm down as fuck. If I remember correctly, RZA has studied film with John Woo and Tarantino, not bad choices.

Wow, just came across this story on Fiddy's site and had to post it. What does it have to do with music? Nothing at all, but it's painful and hilarious at the same time so I had to share it with all 5 of you that read our lovely blog.
While on set for West Coast Productions performing with new female talent Bethany Benz, Yahshua sustained a torn urethra and ripped an aligning wall in his pelvis—what’s commonly referred to as a “broken penis.”
How can one break a penis, you ask?
Well, Yahshua sustained the injury while in the reverse cowgirl position. He was thrusting upwards while Benz was coming down; his penis popped out of her vagina and hit up against her thigh or pubic bone and “snapped.”
“There was an audible snapping sound,” Yahshua told AVN. She jumped up, I jumped up and blood started pouring out of my d*** like someone turned on a garden hose. It was a pretty freaky situation."
Daaaaaaaaaaamn. Thanks to This50.com for spreading the crazy story. Click here to read the rest of the tale.

I've heard this track bumpin' out of peoples cars drivin by as much as Mac Dre's Go Stupid about 4-5 years ago. Track is a straight up slapper. I gotta say it's nice to have a late night talk show host that seems to know a lil somethin' somethin' about hip-hop. Watching Letterman or Leno interview musical guests is usually hilarious only because how awkward it usually gets. Last time he was on he was rockin' with the Roots most of the show. Pretty dope.
